• The last evening at my sister’s rental at Lake Waccamaw. We helped pack them up and take stuff to be stored at Mama’s house. The afternoon light was gorgeous. I fell in love with the reflections. I think I see some tapestries in here.

  • This year I spent Thanksgiving weaving on my tapestry at home and Sandy and I ate dinner with the Martin/Baker family, a bunch of hooligans beyond compare, just my kind of people. Great cooks too. Here is what was on Susanne’s loom.

  • I walk by a day care center on my way to work. Nearly every day at 5:00 some munchkins burst out of the gate and head for this little “room” under these cedars. At that age I would have wanted to live there.

  • So, yeah. I’m really not feeling the urge to blog, so I’m not worried about it. The holidays are hard enough. I did take a few photos this past week, so I’m spacing them out and postdating them on the days I took the photo (I think.) Post-dating? Pre-dating? Whatever.

Spending tomorrow on my own for the most part then I’m going to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. Hope to do something other than cleaning, moping, and playing solitaire, but if I don’t, I’m allowing myself to do whatever I feel like doing. Friday, Sandy and I will meet my family in southeastern NC for a couple of days. As the semester winds down at work I’ll probably be bored enough to blog again. Remodeling work begins again on my kitchen and other bathroom next week.

Y’all don’t forget to celebrate Buy Nothing Day on Friday, and buy your gas and everything you need today, okay? See you later.

  • A gorgeous sunset this evening.

  • The skies over the parking lot on my way to work makes walking across pavement worth it. Look up!

  • Here’s the old wallpaper I found behind the dishwasher when we pulled it out. Can you imagine a whole room covered with this? *shudder*

  • My mint is surviving the cold wave so far.
