Today has been all about listening to “A Thousand Splendid Suns” on CD, watching “Nurse Jackie” on DVD, and soaking up the warmth of the wood stove while stitching. I pulled out this half-finished design from the Abstract-a-licious workshop I took with Lyric Kinard last March. All the pieces sewn down with tiny hand stitches.

I expect that by the end of the year I may have taken a photo of every crook and cranny in my office – here is my collection of oak leaves in a ceramic piece I made about 10 years ago. Making lots of these weavings to play with later.

Just a little bit more stitching and I’m done with the Magic Cloth that I started over two years ago! I just finished cleaning most of the junk and leaves off my front porch, went inside, came back out to take a photo, and this beautiful picnic basket was sitting here.
